The new Learning Hub at King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls in Birmingham represents a significant addition designed to meet educational demands while harmonizing with the school's existing environment. This modern facility includes 2No. science laboratories, 2No. classrooms, and a training room, serving as essential teaching and training spaces for both students and wider community use. The architectural concept of the building was influenced by the intention to create a natural courtyard that integrates seamlessly with existing campus buildings. This led to the development of faceted copper and brick facades that elegantly follow the contours of the driveway. The teaching and training areas are clad in pre-patinated copper, imparting a contemporary and sustainable aesthetic, while circulation zones and support rooms are housed within a robust buff brick "spine" that encircles the rear of the structure.
