The scheme involved the conversion of an
existing ward space to allow the expansion of
the Intensive Care Unit, creating an additional
eleven beds, one of which was an isolation room.
Within the existing unit a new staffroom,
parents room, seminar rooms, specialist storage
areas and a main ward reception were
incorporated.
Even though the area is an Intensive clinical
space, light and colour was introduced to enable
the space to be a more welcoming environment for
both patients and parents. |
